How to Use the JuliBrite® Whitening Kit

1. Start by properly fitting the trays – one for your upper teeth, one for your lower teeth. Make sure they fit firmly so the gel can work properly on your teeth. You’ll find instructions for shaping the trays in the next paragraph.
2. Brush your teeth with JuliBrite n-HAP Toothpaste. This removes plaque that could interfere with the whitening process and raises the pH-level in your mouth, helping the gel work more effectively.
3. Brush for at least two minutes and do not rinse with water afterward.
4. Remove the cap from the dual-chamber syringe and attach a mixing tip (the new tips are reusable).
5. Apply a thin line of JuliBrite Whitening Gel into each tray. A little goes a long way.
6. Place both trays over your teeth. One on your upper jaw and the other on your lower jaw. 
7. Keep them in place for at least 60 minutes.
8. Remove the trays and rinse under cold water.
9. Brush your teeth with toothpaste to remove any remaining gel.
10. Repeat once a day for ten consecutive days.

Dosage: One syringe provides enough gel for 5 whitening sessions.

How to Custom-Fit the Whitening Trays

The JuliBrite trays are two custom-fit mouthpieces for your upper and lower teeth. They’re BPA-free, latex-free, phthalate-free, and PVC-free – completely safe for everyday use.

To get the best results, it’s important to mould the trays to your teeth properly:

1. Soften one tray at a time by submerging it in hot (but not boiling) water until it becomes pliable.
2. Remove the tray from the water using a (metal) fork. Make sure it doesn’t fold or stick together.
3. Place the tray in your mouth, close your lips around it, and gently close your jaw without applying pressure (avoid deep bite marks). If needed, use your fingers or tongue to gently press it into place.
4. Suck in gently to create a tight seal and let the tray harden into a firm but comfortable shape.

Not happy with the fit? No worries – each tray can be reshaped up to 20 times.

Achieve Whiter Teeth in 6 Steps

Getting whiter teeth requires a complete approach that targets multiple areas at once:

1. Polish your teeth using the Oral Icon® Tooth Polisher to remove the biofilm layer. This helps the Whitening Gel make better contact with your tooth surface.
2. Clean between the teeth and along the gumline using the Oral Icon® Electric Water Flosser for a fresher, more thorough clean.
3. Whiten your teeth once a day for at least 10 days, for one hour each session. For best results, use the Caproxim Whitening Technology in the JuliBrite® At-Home Whitening Kit.
4. Brush your teeth daily with JuliBrite Toothpaste containing 3% nano-hydroxyapatite – a mineral that fills microscopic scratches and cracks in your enamel, leaving your teeth smoother and naturally brighter.
5. Rinse during the day with coconut oil and melaleuca oil from Ikinora® to help prevent new stains from sticking to the enamel.

Additional Tips

1. For best results, do your whitening session in the evening after your last meal.
   If that’s not possible, make sure to avoid eating or drinking for at least one hour after treatment.
2. During the whitening period, try to avoid food and drinks high in pigments or acidity.
   For example: coffee, tea, red wine, cola, turmeric, spinach, etc. Smoking may also affect your results – avoiding it will support the whitening effect.
3. When applying the gel to the tray, use one small drop per tooth. Avoid using too much gel – more product does not speed up the whitening process and may irritate your gums.

Where is JuliBrite whitening gel made?

The whitening gels are produced in the Netherlands.

Why is there no light included?

No LED or UV needed. Supporting whitening with LED or UV does not contribute to making your teeth whiter. The ACP and HAP formula of JuliBrite works perfectly without light.

Is JuliBrite peroxide-free?

Yes. No harsh ingredients. JuliBrite Whitening Kit does not use peroxide, but instead uses Caproxim (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid). Caproxim has been proven to be as effective as peroxide, but without the unpleasant side effects like pain or sensitivity.

How long does it take to see results?

You’ll notice an instantly whiter look due to the purple color-correction. The actual whitening effect builds up with regular use and is usually visible after a few sessions (depending on the person and the degree of discoloration).

Is it true that the gel doesn’t reach all teeth?

Because the gel is purple, it may appear that not all teeth are fully covered when applied. However, this is not an issue. The active molecules in the gel naturally spread and reach even the hard-to-cover areas of your teeth. After approximately 10 whitening sessions, the molecules will have covered every area enough to achieve an even whitening result. You can trust that your teeth will whiten uniformly, even if some areas seem less covered initially.

Does JuliBrite cause tooth sensitivity?

No. Whitening with PAP+ works by oxidizing stains without releasing free radicals – and it’s those radicals that typically cause sensitivity. With PAP+, there’s no damage or erosion of the enamel. The outer layer of the tooth remains fully intact, protecting the nerves while whitening safely and effectively.

Is JuliBrite safe for my tooth enamel?

Yes. The gel contains nano-hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring mineral in the body that restores and strengthens enamel. Combined with arginine and potassium citrate, this product actively supports your oral health.

Can I use JuliBrite daily?

Yes, the formula is gentle enough for daily use. For optimal results, we recommend once a day for a period of 5 to 14 days.

Is JuliBrite suitable for sensitive mouths or people with mouth ulcers?

Yes. The formula contains no alcohol, no harsh acids, and is pH-balanced. The flavor is mild thanks to natural peppermint oil – no sting or burning.

What happens if I swallow the gel?

Accidentally swallowing a small amount is not harmful, but the product is intended for external use in the mouth. Larger amounts may cause diarrhea or nausea due to certain ingredients like propylene glycol or piroctone olamine.

Does the purple color make my teeth temporarily purple?

No. The purple colorant (CI 42090 + CI 16035) neutralizes yellow and rinses away after use. The purple hue is temporary and designed for optical whitening.

Is nano-hydroxyapatite better than regular HAp?

Nano-HAp has a much smaller particle size (20–100 nm), allowing it to penetrate deep into micro-cracks and pores of the enamel. This supports internal repair instead of just surface coating. Thanks to its higher surface area per gram, nano-HAp is more bioactive: it adheres better to enamel, stimulates crystal growth and remineralization, and seals dentin tubules – proven effective against sensitivity. It also creates a smoother surface, giving a visibly whiter smile.

Why does a dual-chamber syringe with mixing tip increase PAP's whitening power?

Because the ingredients are mixed only at the moment of use. This keeps PAP stable in storage and activates it only during a sudden shift to neutral pH (6.5–7.5). It then reacts powerfully with stains, with less sensitivity and added enamel protection thanks to nano-hydroxyapatite. Result: stronger and faster whitening, longer shelf life, and safe for daily use.

Can I sleep with the whitening tray in?

Yes, you can. However, it is not necessary for extra whitening results. The PAP gel in the JuliBrite® kit stops working after about one hour. Wearing it longer – even overnight – does not increase the whitening effect. Some people prefer sleeping with the tray (since you won’t be eating or drinking), but for whitening, one session of about 1 hour per day is sufficient.
